Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGOT OFFENLOCH It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother and Oma, Margot Offenloch (Huebner) on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Selkirk General Hospital. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred; children, Robert (Donna), Linda, Roland (Catherine) and Roger (Kimberley); and six grandchildren who were the apple of her eye: Jessica, Chris, Ryan, Ayden, Kyle and Lucas; as well as numerous relatives in Calgary, BC, Milwaukee and Germany. Margot was born in Landshut, Germany on September 3, 1939. She lived in various German towns until immigrating to Canada in 1958. Shortly after arriving in Winnipeg, she met Fred, the love of her life. They were married on May 21, 1960. Margot had a love for gardening, and enjoyed blueberry and mushroom picking. She always made sure her family had a dog to love. Margot and Fred built a cottage in Boulder Bay (Beaconia) where countless family memories were created and shared. In 1980, Mom began working at Melet Plastics and continued until her retirement in 2002. Mom and Dad, along with their dog Heidi, then made the cottage their permanent home. Boulder Bay was considered her little slice of heaven and her green thumb turned the yard into a colourful mosaic every summer. A service, interment and reception to celebrate Mom's life will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Thalberg, MB (one mile east of Hwy. 12 at mile 94N). Pallbearers will be her three sons, Robert, Roland and Roger, her grandson Chris, Dan Hohm, and Dave Yaworski. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or the Winnipeg Humane Society We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Robert Zoppa, Dr. Michelle Matter and the wonderful nurses, especially Josie and Lynn from the second floor of the Selkirk General Hospital. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. Bis Spater Mutti! Aufwiedersehen! Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
